I instantly discount the opinion of anyone who uses this term in serious conversation.

There are a lot of pols in the MAGA/AF movement you must be discounting, then.

This is the backbone of the economic populism of MAGA/AF

"Wall Street" v. "Main Street"

The rhetoric is all based in income inequality.

American poverty IS NOT real poverty.
If that helps you cope. I doubt it will do much for those struggling.

India, North Korea, and Pakistan are on the brink of starvation.

That's the truth. It was a brutal existence.

The ones struggling that are overweight, have ac, a roof, cell phones, tvs, new toys, freezer full of food, new nails, name brand beauty products, etc and live like kings?

You act as if your dignity would not be quickly tossed aside if given a chance at a dream life.

What was a dream life to the masses in the late 1800's? Unlike today, where we live coddled lives, most people then did subsistence work. They were very lucky to have more than 1 meal a day. Even though conditions were harsh to a keyboard warrior such as yourself, who has most assuredly never endured hardships the average person faced day after day, it was much better than they ever experienced prior.

Tell me why I should care.

Please. Make me want to care about people on the other side of the world when we have veterans sleeping on the streets here.

right, that's my point. MAGA rhetoric is anti-elite, but they're willing to support polices that aren't. They anti-elite rhetoric is there to bully the elites into attacking the real enemies & if they do then the elites get to keep theirs.

You give too much credit to an over-arching plan/strategy.

MAGA/AF/Trump say what's necessary to gain the most support at that specific time, knowing their hardcore fanbase won't turn on them no matter how hypocritical they are in the process.

That's why they've perfected the general language about x-problem or y-policy without ever committing to a goal. Then, literally no matter what happens, they can pivot to claiming victory.

We're doing this song and dance in KCT's football-spiking tariff thread.

Complaining about income inequality is like complaining about the fact that some people aren't as good at pro football as NFL players are

And why are they homeless? I will tell you, because no one cares.

Homelessness doesn’t exist in North Korea. It is impossible in communism to be homeless.

Why are the homeless in India and Pakistan our problem and not the Indian and Pakistani governments problem?

Liberals' sympathies lie elsewhere than with those struggling. They're more interested in crosswalks and men winning medals in girls' sports.

I never said it was. North Korea has the homeless. Those with houses have no electricity, running water, or heat. I would rather live under capitalism than communism. I love America. I only want it to be even better than it is.

Nuh uh. That is capitalist propaganda.

With Juche one does not need such capitalistic nonsense.

Then you want more freedom and less government.
