The pussy tapes did not sink him because we have bigger problems to worry about. This election showed the declining relevance of the mainstream news media due to their inability to check facts and report accurately. To wit:
- The economy, while not in a depression, is nowhere near what the press is saying. When people with good jobs are living paycheck to paycheck and people aren't saving, it's not a good thing. Obama was peddling fiction
- The level of corruption exposed by Wikileaks on Hillary and the DNC discouraged democratic voters, while encouraged republican voters that otherwise probably would not have voted for trump. The media tried to cover it up, but it couldn't keep a lid on it.
- The country is more divided than it has been in my 41 years of being on this planet. Hillary represented more of the same counterproductive policies of the last 16 years.

As much stated, people just didn't care about the private crass talk being used as election fodder.
But also, who was the offended person to turn to, Billary? What moral superiority did they have on the issue? In fact, it probably made people even more cognizant of Bill's past and her role in it.
So any honest and offended person just had to look at it as a wash.

Pointing out that someone is a pervert or a creep only works if that person has tried to position themselves as some kind of arbitor of family values.
Trump never pretended to be some wholesome family-friendly guy, so those attacks didn't really hurt him all that much. Most people offended by it were the same people who were already offended by literally every breath and step he took. The people on his side didn't care.

What it means is that for eons and eons women have DESIRED to be with/get with/fool around with/hook up with/marry famous/handsome/rich men.
