re: In Montreal, you can’t have a Christian singer have a worship service in a Church

Clearly not, as it was pretty clear to everyone else it was not a normal worship service
Interesting. Is it possible for something to be a worship service while also being "not a normal worship service?"

That it was a "worship service" and not the same concert he had been attempting (requiring a permit) everywhere else.
What’s the difference between a worship service and a concert from a permitting perspective?

He accurately represented your position here.
He did not.
He projected an incorrect version of my personal policy preference to divert from the discussion of the story being had without personal policy preferences playing a role (on my end, at least).

You're outing yourself as obviously not libertarian.
That was already covered, a couple of times.
And you're wrong, as usual.

SFP literally knows almost nothing about anything related to Christianity. It is hilarious to observe.

The government of Montreal won't be able to tell you, but SFP almost certainly has some convoluted answer.

I bet a thousand bucks this is not what happened.

You have to agree with the city that he is lying, which they can decide with no evidence or investigation, since they are the law. You seem as obedient as any other bootlicker in that regard.
I believe they thought they were abiding the law by taking their dirty worship inside the walls of that dirty place of worship. Your evidence is your anger and the word of the obviously anti-christian Marxist leadership.

The standard variables/concerns for all events.

I'll take your word for it. You have a near iron grip on being wrong on this forum.

What a vague and vacant statement with zero actual meaning.
Are you saying churches everywhere need permits to have a singer?

This would be a good question. In this instance, entry was free.

They were told this wouldn't work prior to the event.

They were literally told they were not, prior to the event.

What a melt, and a lie.

This is definitely what happened, so this would be a really stupid bet.

Laws of general applicability apply to churches as well.
Do you agree or disagree?

So?

You ever did something some boot told you was illegal because you knew it wasn't?

You look like an absolute clown in this thread. Please continue to defend your indefensible position.

What was the basis of reasoning for saying this was a violation of city law?
You have no idea. But you’re sure the city is operating in good faith.
Partially because it’s a contrarian position that you’re addicted to.
Partially because you see Feaucht as a reactionary and that’s not something you and your wife can get excited at the next meeting of the Laffy who’s who.
And partially because you don’t like Christianity.

So?
You said

I believe they thought they were abiding the law
That works until they're told that they're not.
At that point, it becomes civil disobedience and you don't get to hide behind that excuse. Which is fine, but own it for what it is.

When I was caught, lying and claiming I wasn't breaking the law wouldn't absolve me of the consequences and I took responsibility for my actions.
I just tell the cops to write me the ticket.
