No, it's really not that simple.


Not only do YOU need to be able to afford the bandwidth, but the sites you want to visit also need to afford the bandwidth (which they already pay for) PLUS whatever arbitrary fees your ISP feels like charging them.

You, and anyone else who is anti-NN, do NOT understand the implications of all of this. The internet is its own economy essentially, and with no rules the ISPs are free to control it as they wish. The next Google that might employ 10s of thousands of people may not get off the ground because the ISPs have decided to charge them access fees, favoring the ISPs' own search engines. Innovation killed. We are about to open the door to private tax imposition, made legal via creative terminology.
