The GOP didn’t even want Reagan to win in 1980.
Utter bullshite.
Huh? The R establishment wanted nothing to do with Raegan. It wasn’t until he showed full support by both parties that they had to get in line and support him while pretending to have been the entire time. While today’s establishment is way worse in how they sabotage Trump, otherwise the establishment back then looked at Raegan as a joke just as they do with Trump today

When I’ve participated in destroying the latter, I’ve been rewarded by ‘improvement’ like watching the GOP ignore the SAVE Act.
He didn't say if you destroyed the latter the former would automatically improve.
We have to actually improve it. By voting for challengers in primaries at a clip much greater than the current 9% of registered Republicans who currently vote in Congressional primaries.
Y'all want to dump on Congress for not doing their duty, but that's not the problem. The problem is that voters won't do theirs.
When 89% of registered Republicans are voting in primaries instead of 9%, THEN you can whine about the party.
Until then, it's on all of us.
We are getting the government we deserve and are collectively voting for.
