This country is more divided now than at any point in my lifetime. Sure, elections tend to exacerbate things but whoever wins at least tries to bridge those things and bring us back together. Until Trump. He hasn't done that and will not even attempt to do that. He's only concerned with keeping his base riled up and goes to great unsavory lengths to do that. Of course, he doesn't really gaf about his base either. He just strings them along to receive their adulation and to stay in power.
