You have some problems here:

1. This plan is not what Trump campaigned on. If people don't speak out against it, and assume it will magically morph into a great thing, it is akin to saying he is lying. That's not a good look. We should take him at his word. When his words advocate for something not on his platform, and in disagreement with his base, the base should speak up.

2. It could be high level strategy but it is, without a doubt, a gamble. Dems could easily turn around and say "OK, we'll take that deal". Then what? Any back pedalling at that point would look awful and energize the hell out of the Dem voting block. Caving will demoralize his base. Kudos to him if the gamble pays off, but it's still a gamble.

3. It is far better to attack the plan as it is written, and leave the switch-a-roo to Trump, rather than assume it's there. Gamesmanship is between him and the Dems, not him and his base. I don't think it serves us well to get too nuanced in our assessment of what he's up to. That will splinter the base.

My memory may be faded, but I do believe Sir Winston was the Trump Train Engineer back when it first hit the tracks, and Sentrius was a flag-waving Libertarian pulling for a certain senator from Kentucky.

Can't speak for Sir Winston, but Sentius strikes me as a man of consideration and thought as opposed to the knee jerk style of some, ahem, posters. Perhaps you're just being a prickly bitch with a litmus test that only you can pass?
