While tragic, losing your son or daughter in a school shooting doesn't make you an expert on public policy.

Victims are sacred and cannot be held to any standard. *

This is Leftism 101.

*Unless they are victims of black on black crime, hispanic on hispanic crime, hispanic on black crime, black on hispanic crime, the Benghazi terrorist attacks, or Bill Clinton's sexual assaults.

What a dumbass thing to say.

Let's apply that everywhere, shall we?

While he thinks abortion is tragic, that doesn't make an anti-abortionist an expert on public policy.

While giving welfare to people who don't deserve it is tragic, that doesn't make people opposed to welfare experts on public policy.

While blowing up our allies with nuclear bombs would be tragic, that doesn't make people opposed to bombing our friends experts on foreign policy.

It's literally New York. Lots of immigrants from there. They even have the NY accent.

North Miami Beach in Miami-Dade county was where all the New Yorkers are. Broward is the Jersey Shore of Latin America.

Only a mental midget with true insecurities would say something like this.

Don't you guys know you have control of all 3 branches of government, paid and bought for by the NRA?

Since you think of yourself so enlightened why don’t you find out who are the biggest lobbyists and where the NRA falls on that list. You will likely be really shocked how little they contribute to political coffers.

Has nothing to do with that. If so, their anger would be focused on law enforcement, not gun control

This was 100 percent preventable and is on LE.

Having fellow schoolmates killed in a shooting doesn't automatically make you informed on guns or gun legislation...

What a dumbass thing to say.

You know what having your fellow schoolmates killed in a massacre DOES make them informed about guns and gun legislation? That the effects of our guns and gun legislation are frickING DEADLY AND BLOODY and things need to be changed.

That's a non sequitur.

And other countries prove your gun loving nonsense wrong.

This argument holds no water if you also argue “guns don’t kill people. People kill people.” It’s not on LE. It is on the psycho.

It's the logical thing to say. The parents of the victims and survivors are currently being driven by emotion. Emotion does not create good policy. Only facts and logics do.

The anti-abortionist has scientific studies and data to back him/her up. Where are the studies saying that banning the AR-15 will curb gun violence? Show me the data.

A straw man argument and no where close to the same argument. The anti-welfare argument is based solely in the realm of fiscal responsibility. Studies show that if you cut spending you save money. That's Economics 101 and the driving force behind those who want to cut the welfare state.

While blowing up our allies with nuclear bombs would be tragic, that doesn't make people opposed to bombing our friends experts on foreign policy.

Now you're just diving into the realm of the absurd. But I expect nothing less from you, Rex.

This has nothing to do with the shooting outside of "never letting an opportunity go to waste"

These kids are being used by Charlatans

Isn't this what people like you say about EVERY one of these massacres? And yet while guns proliferate they happen with increasing frequency.

All of these are true statements. I’m not sure the point you are trying to make here. Nobody is arguing that these parents and students aren’t experts because they suffered a tragic event. People are saying that their suffering a tragic event, alone, does not make them an expert. They may be qualified to speak on the subject, but the fact that they experienced this doesn’t turn them into second amendment scholars.

What a dumbass thing to say. As if they're not entitled to their emotion after they've been devastated. As if there's no logic to wanting guns controlled sensibly to prevent future devastations.

You people are repugnant. Wait a minute... ARE YOU EVEN PEOPLE? You all talk like creatures who hate the human race.
