These cops LINK need fired immediately; and blacklisted from ever working any where that deals with human beings directly again.

Any other conservatives think Chauvin was properly charged and convicted on 2nd degree manslaughter, or do you agree with my relative?

Chauvin was definitely guilty of manslaughter.

What was George Floyd's culpability in creating an unreasonable risk for himself, the officers who were called to the scene, and the onlookers? All of whom were placed in harm's way due to George Floyd's non-compliance to law enforcement.

and consciously takes chances of causing death or great bodily harm to another

Does willingly taking fentanyl count as consciously taking chances of causing death or great bodily harm? Did you know this same incident happened to Saint George in 2019? Police approached him and he swallowed all the drugs he had in order to conceal them. An ambulance had to be called then too.

IMO Chauvin didn't kill George Floyd (the fentanyl probably did that), but he showed an utter disregard for Floyd's life by not getting him medical attention

1. Ambulance was called. 2. Anyone taking fentanyl has already shown an utter disregard for their own life. They do not have the right to resist arrest, endanger officers of the law, or members of the community just because they are on drugs.

and by keeping his knee on Floyd's neck for 9 minutes

Did you know that Floyd resisted arrest LONGER than the time Chauvin had his knee on his neck? It took all of those officers to get him down, and Saint George still managed to kick the cops while Chauvin was on his neck and had his hands cuffed behind his back. So how fast did those 8 min 46 sec pass when they had already been fighting with this guy for more time than that? It was 3-4 against one, and that one was working those cops simply by his size, strength, and drugs he was on. If you finally get him down after 12 minutes of fighting, are you letting him back up? Especially if he has kicked the officers even while pinned down?

You know, if I speed, cut someone off, then slam on my breaks while going 80 on the highway, the car behind me might rear end me, but how much responsibility do I bear for the accident vs the person that hit my car?

When will people be held accountable for their own actions, even if they happen to lead to their own death?

Definitively reasonable doubt as to whether Chauvin was the cause of death or whether 3X the lethal dose of fentanyl & speed-balling were the cause of death.

I have little to add as my opinions largely mirror yours.

Manslaughter yes.

second degree/felony murder no. I don’t believe chauvin had intent to kill and chauvin was an on duty cop arresting George Floyd not engaged in committing a felony. I don’t believe the elements were present for this charge.

they had called the ambulance and were waiting for it to arrive, floyd refused to get in the car and wanted to be in the ground.

The knee was on his shoulder, not his neck. My brother in law is a federal leo, said they got the exact same training to restrain with knee on shoulder. Chauvin is only guilty of not recognizing the importance of optics

The evidence was overwhelming. If we are to place some sort of faith in the judicial system and move forward then the system works here as it should.
