Nefarious yes, political (at the point of his initial involvement), no IMO.
Fauci is a opportunistic, self-promoting POS much more than he is a political proponent. It just so happens the the liberal party laps up his bullshite much more than Trump did. (Once Trump realized Fauci was in to for himself), and now we know to cover up for his early initial involvement in GoF in Wuhan.

Remember how the media and establishment politicians were always (falsely) accusing Trump of forcing agencies and military into doing things he wasn't doing?
