Of course they were trying really hard to get them, but they absolutely did not have them. Didn’t we blow up their nuke program summer anyway?

You are missing the bigger point, the same thing that motivates you (and me and many other Americans) to defend our second and other amendments and rights is the same thing that motivates these men to defend and protect their leaders til the end. Most Iranians ( although not all) won't sell out their entire culture, religion, tradition, which are all represented by their leaders and thus a reflection of themselves, for money.
