That is not possible. Trump perceives running against him as disloyal. Vivek tried this approach and Trump put up with it until a few days ago, when something changed.

I, like many many others, was not worried about Florida’s governor during the time of a global pandemic. What I can say is that DeSantis unconstitutionally closed beaches and did what Fauci told him to. That is undeniable. I also didn’t criticize Trump at the time. I have tons of issues with how he handled Covid. Am I not allowed to talk about that because I didn’t say so at the time? What an insane standard.

I will again note that it was for ~14 days.
I criticized Trump at the time of the shutdown saying he didn’t lay out any criteria for reopening and that failing to do that insured we would be locked down for months.

I’ve been very open about trumps tax policy being the number one reason I vote for him. I don’t need to convince myself of anything.

I’m not emotionally invested in DeSantis. He’s a politician. I don’t need to look at pictures of him or imagine things that he says are misunderstood witticisms. He’ll drop out and my life will go on. I’m not sure that you and your compatriots are able to say the same.
