Another great series is 299 days by Glenn Tate. No EMP, centers around an economic collapse.

Haven’t read thread but I want to read Black Autumn. It’s more about modern day what we’re currently facing. Just realized it’ll be on screen this year.

Homestead, MOTION PICTURE and TV Show, coming Summer 2024
**an Angel Studios original film**

A Special Forces commando returns home from combat to America on the edge of apocalypse. He and his family land a gig running security for a wealthy clan of survivors, yet the group struggles to make peace with the sudden death of modern culture.

Can a few salty warfighters convince plastic surgeons, realtors and human resource managers that they must pick up their guns and fight or their families will die?

Green Beret, Jeff Kirkham, and his buddies think they're locked and loaded for yet another war, but nothing can prepare them for the runaway violence of America after a cascade of terrorism, government blunder and social media nastiness strips away the urban dreamscape.

At what point do everyday people become warriors?

Co-written by a 28-year Green Beret and lifelong preparedness expert, Jason Ross, Black Autumn proves that common, everyday glitches in our system can add up to the total collapse of Western Civilization. Currently being filmed as a major motion picture, Homestead: Black Autumn, coming summer/fall 2024

An even more likely scenario is dramatized in Kurt Schlichter's book "The Attack" where thousands of sleeper cells are activated here in a 10/7- like nationwide slaughter which includes attacks on the grid. It's a harrowing read.

"Day of Wrath" is another good book(description below) and a more realistic possibility of happening in America. Written by same author as "One Second After". With the millions of unvetted illegals being free entry into America, one can't help but wonder not if, but when something like this will happen.

quote:

organized and ruthless force, the nightmarish devastation brings America to a state of near-paralysis. Author of ONE SECOND AFTER and PILLAR TO THE SKY, this heart-stopping novella brings home just how fragile our defenses and infrastructure really are. It is also a story of heroic efforts to save lives, while sounding a wake-up call to American citizens and their government. Bob Petersen arrives with his daughter at the Middle Grade school in Maine where he teaches, expecting another regular day but worried about what recent ominous news reports might portend. Suddenly his school -- along with many others across the United States -- is under attack. Gunmen burst in, slaughtering children and adults alike. From the ISIS leader in Syria, to the murderous rampages throughout the U.S., Day of Wrath reveals with chilling effect how national panic and paralyzing terror at the spiraling violence can bring a mighty country to a near-standstill. Petersen's fight to save lives and stop the merciless gunmen provides edge-of-the-seat drama. Day of Wrath is a provocative work that should stimulate an intense national debate. ONE SECOND AFTER was cited on the floor of Congress as the book everyone should read. “A THRILLING — AND TERRIFYING — TALE OF WHAT COULD BE OUR NEXT 9/11!” -
