If (when) Trump is acquitted on this stupid impeachment-thoughts on fallout for 46*

This whole stupid impeachment is proof positive that nobody makes good decisions when they’re pissed; and decisions get worse if it’s a group decision and everyone is pissed. Sooner or later everyone calms down and then says - WTF was I thinking.
Rationales for voting no will vary, but the Democrats have 50 votes, plus one with Romney. There aren’t 18 Republicans stupid enough to vote to convict the most popular Republican President since Reagan-
especially since he’s not even in office. I just cannot see how- even with all the normal Democrat/Uniparty frickery Trump is “convicted”
Because I haven’t really followed this nonsense too closely, I have no idea what will happen at this stupid Democrat Show Trial. Clearly Trump will put on some evidence. And no matter what it is- it’s gonna be bad for Democrats and Uniparty. Worst case scenario for them it’s evidence in the form of Ruby Freeman, but even in a best case scenario, it’s Trump’s speech saying “be peaceful.” This shite will be unavoidably broadcast. Plus shite. Does Trump testify?? Do the Democrats really want Trump testifying? Democrats managed to install the least charismatic *President in my lifetime. Do they really want the comparison btwn him and Trump’s persona? Some people find him off putting- but Trump is anything but boring. The most interesting thing about Biden is the suspense about whether he shits his pants, or calls people dog faced pony soldiers.
Further, once Trump is acquitted-he’s going scorched earth on RINOs- and will basically be a kingmaker in the Republican Party. Endorsements used to not mean shite. Trump’s endorsement of anyone will drive out MAGA in revenge. RINOs in red states I think are the most vulnerable.
In addition, how utterly incompetent and stupid is the Democrat Party going to look when a President who just “lost” an election declares a major political victory 1 month after leaving office, and ends up more popular than the sitting President*.

If Trump had overcome the cheating and slapped an investigation on Chairman the left would be going apeshit just as they are now.

These morons stroll out in front of the camera and say the worst things about the opposition and then behind closed doors they all bump fists and frick the American people.
The Left is the party that is moving this country in some direction. The Right serves as their controlled opposition to give the people some hope to cling to.

List the 18 Republicans that vote to convict him. I seriously don’t see how that will happen. There just aren’t enough Mittens in the Senate.
Further - Biden is a figurehead. He is boring and completely irrelevant. Nobody thinks he’s in charge of anything. I agree nothing will happen to him- but somehow becoming more impotent.

Hard to say because they’ve done some vile shite over the years.
But as stupid as this impeachment by the democrats is, the weakness and anti Trump sentiment shown by the GOP is even worse.
