Because they are in NATO.
Yeah, but its not like being in NATO makes them our allies or anything. Right?

It's more nuanced then that.
A strong Kurdish nation would be a stabilizing force and a better ally than Israel in the area.
But Turkey who is in NATO has a beef with Kurds and is using one of their Hezbollah like organizations as a reason to go in. We've also agreed that this organization is a terrorist group. But many Kurds don't agree and have allowed the group into their political processes.
Honestly this where a strong state department would be great but we haven't had one in a decade or so. So now some good allies have been thrown to the wolves instead of sitting down and trying to make a state solution because our other allies are both opportunistic and genocidal assholes.

There are multiple reasons for the invasion, and the EU can't do anything, as Erdogan, who is a fairly astute politician, can use the agreement he made with the EU to house refugees against them, which is the ultimate trump card.

Because it's not so bad
Remember there is an agenda behind everything

It’s pretty simple. Either you want more military or less. It can’t be a “yea, but.” There are a lot of anti war people in power, including AOC, who talk endlessly about ending wars and bringing troops home, but are outraged here because we are abandoning Kurds. Well no shite. When we leave, we are always abandoning someone.

You just having fun saying stuff and thangs?
The proposed Kurdistan involves 5 countries.
Go ask them to give up all that land and watch your stabilizing force go to town
