And how is Congress going to stop him? Do you really think the Republicans in the Senate are going to roll over and play dead for the Democratic minority?

I think the SCOTUS's recent ruling on Transgenders being allowed to serve in the armed forces did just that.

The SCOTUS showed its disdain for nationwide injunctions issued by local judges when it vacated the lower court's nationwide injunction by reinstating President Trump's ban on Transgenders being allowed to serve in the armed forces and sent the case back to the lower courts.

I do, too. It's about time we had another civil war in this country. You and your ilk will be so much easier to handle when you're dead.

Mitch didn’t pull the nuclear option on the wall when the GOP had both chambers because he was worried about the Democrats using it and abusing it in the future.

You think he doesn’t understand what this sham declaration of emergency to subvert the legislative process is going to do for future negotiations when Democrats are in power?

It wouldn’t surprise me if Mitch himself has warned the President against using the declaration of national emergency or warned him the Senate will pass a joint resolution to nullify it if he does. Don’t force his members to go on record “against the wall” to save the separation of powers for the future.

Dems will use it regardless. I don’t know why republicans in Congress five so much deference to the dems. The dems never do the same. “Elections have consequences” was their motto for years.

The nuclear option or the declaration of national emergency?

I’m not aware of them threatening to declare a national emergency before, but I could be wrong. Have they?

The NEA really needs to be amended to require just a resolution by one chamber to end it.

Like they did for gun control and climate change before?

This is not a winning argument, B, and seems a little beneath you

Harry Reid changed the rules when they had power. No reason to believe they won’t again.

my point is that even if trump does not do it...there is no reason to believe the dems won’t. They have changed the rules before when they had the power.
