So you say the Democrats both want to throw money at the crime problem, and at the same time take money away from the crime problem.
Are you really this stupid?

Just need to add “solving problems” to their list of solving problems. They’ll get to it eventually.

John Adams said it best...
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other". - John Adams
Wow! We had some brilliant and visionary Founding Fathers.
Sadly, given the depravity and unbridled hedonism I've witnessed in government and entertainment since this Biden bunch took over, I would say we are standing on the precipice of doom.
My generation (okay, I'm old, really old) saw government as a Servant of God's people. Not surprising since, for the most part, my generation viewed all authority as coming from God. Efforts to supplant that authority and instill tyrannical rule on the world cost the blood and lives of thousands of my countrymen. Their remains lay in quiet cemeteries overlooking the beach at Normandy.
I'll say it. The only chance left to save America......

I might be able to answer your question if you could quantify that a bit better.

They have done both. They’ve thrown money at the crime issue( like midnight basketball, gun laws) in ways that never address the underlying causes, but they’ve also wanted to vilify cops and funnel money away from them to use for racial causes.
I’m amused that you’ve Ignored every other area I mentioned where Dems wasted money uselessly, to focus on one area you view as a got ya.
You are right, what was I thinking.
The Dems are actually small government and believe in personal responsibility over government solutions.

It depends. How much more would you like? How about this jewel?
Lady Elizabeth Powel walked up to Ben Franklin and asked him, "what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" To which Doc Franklin replied, "a Republic if you can keep it."
So mon frère, what kind of government would you prefer?Do you know (or care) the difference between a social communist form, a pure democracy form, or a Constitutional Republic form of government? More importantly, have you ever taken the time to research the difference? Do you even care?
Be nice and be honest.

You do know that countries historically fall, and there are reasons behind the fall, right? You act as if there aren’t common historical markers that precede this fall.
( laziness, too much spending, moral decadence, corruption, apathy, etc…)

None of that has anything to do with what I addressed in your previous post.
You're just quoting grade school readers at this point.

The least efficient, most wasteful way to get anything done is via government.
I believe that's why Democrats love it so much.

We keep hearing from Dems all the time, in fact, it’s their only strategy. They say,” more government or government spending will solve x,y and z.”
It's not just the dems.
Look at all of the supposed conservatives here that are screaming the government doesn't spend enough on railroad infrastructure.
Infrastructure that is owned by the railroads themselves. Not the government.

Most people who post here are just the lite version of progs.
You can't cry about Dems spending money like drunken sailors then do the same.

why havent they solved even one
Posted on 2/17/23 at 2:30 pm to Revelator
It all goes back to the basic fallacy of 'Change is better than doing nothing.'
Even the term 'status quo' has a bad connotation. But the SQ often proves to be far superior to the 'wonderful possibilities of change.' The Prohibition disaster comes to mind.
The left believes that only the fiat power of govt can bring about change. They ignore the history of unintended consequences.
The best solutions are generated by gradually testing on small scale in the private market of ideas. When a solution works it catches on quickly and more efficiently than govt fiat.

Okay that's your opinion. But you never answered my question. What is the difference between socialist communism, a pure democracy, and a Constitutional Republic?
I'm waiting. Take your time.

Nope, they don't even have to vote anymore. The ballots are filled out for them and delivered to the polls on their behalf.

They are the solution to all problems, unfortunately they are also the cause of all problems.

Curiously, none of those forms of government are mentioned in the Bible.

I could have mentioned a theocracy form of government, but the Founding Father hammered that out when they debated separation of church and state.
Based on John Adam's admonition, a pure Consitutional Republic is doomed to failure. Remember, America is in various stages of scraping the traditional notion of honesty, truthfulness, family, and monotheism. Sickening actually.
As it applies to effective government, IMO, the ancient Jewish nation worked out the best form of representative government. Imagine an inverted triangle, with power originating at the lowest point. Like every ten families appointing a representative. Then gathering ten groups of ten to make a 100 member group with an appointed representative, and so on. A very labor-intensive effort, but the ancient Jews had success with the model. I argue that Jewish effort to push governance to the lowest level accounts for Israel's success economically and militarily.
Having said that, I agree with John Adams. Only a religious and moral people can make a Constitutional Republic work. What we've got leading us in Washington doesn't give me much hope for the future.
Anybody with a lick of sense can see where this breakdown in governance and morals is leading us to - unprecedented disaster.
Downvote as you wish.
