I can envision a scenario where Trump issues preemptive pardons to his family and associates because it sounds like the Dims will start investigating any and all Trump family and associates on day one they are in office.

I think it would be funnier to let them work for months building cases etc and think they are getting somewhere then pull the rug out from under them.

Of course he will pardon them regardless.

Biden set the standard. Democrats go after their opponents way worse than the GOP will ever go after theirs, mostly because the GOP is gutless and does not have the backing of the press to do so.

How exactly are the dims going to "go after" anybody if they hold only the house by a handful of votes?

I wouldn’t blame him if he did, and Biden the potato set the precedent. The midnight pardons of hunter and fauci seriously were beyond sketchy but we all knew he would

Trump will still head the DOJ. What/who will he be pardoning them from? He might do it upon his exit in 28/29.

Trump will pardon them, Boasberg will rule pardons illegal, the Dems will stack the SC so that they agree they are illegal and they will all be executed en masse by the reflecting pool. If you think this scenario doesnt make the Dems rigid youre a moron. Of course this can be avoided by not giving Dems power but the muh gas mouth breathers seem content to hand it over to them.
