Why is Cornyn out begging dems to cross over and vote for him? Would the dems vote against their own interests? Makes no sense, unless, it’s completely bull shat

Paxton's the easier route for the gay democrat, so much so they are crossing the line to vote for Cornyn.
Fortunately, there's not too many dems that didn't already commit to talarico in the primary and can't cross over now. I fully expect USAID John to go away tonight.

TX probably has rules where you can only vote in this stage for the party you voted in the original primary vote.

They might also prefer Cornyn to Paxton, as a hedge if they don't win in November.
