Well said.
Indeed. He left out a key sub demographic that continuously enriches our discussions though.
That being the classical liberal masquerading as a libertarian. True right wing ideas make them uncomfortable, yet they are too intelligent, or too nauseated, to try to argue on behalf of actual left wing social and economic ideals, so they pretend to be libertarian, so that they can gate keep the right wing which they truly fear above all else.

"His argument has been dead for multiple pages at this point."
The argument is for free markets and against government control and protectionism. Which way are you leaning?

Have you by chance ever looked at the pillars of conservatism? They deal with individuals and freedom. Not collectives and protection.
Individual Freedom
Limited Government
Fiscal Responsibility
Free Markets

Why don't the corporations simply enslave their labor force?

I’m not a conservative

I'm capitalist to the bone Shrub.
I also like American culture and have no desire to assist in it's demise.

That explains it.
Bernie and Liz should be your leaders then. They are all in on workers.

Then you should understand the dangers of increasing protectionism.

Its sad you had to explain that to them.

Just to be clear, in this thread we have a lot of pretend right wingers wanting the masses to crush the capitalists.
If you don't like it, the investor/corporate class should form their own political party and outvote the rest of us

You are the one who said this eariler in the thread.
"The only absolute true free market in theory would be open borders globalization"

The fact you think I do not is as ridiculous as your posts promoting an absolute free for all.

I’m not a conservative because conservatism does not exist anymore. And the version of America I want to conserve is so far in the rear view mirror it would require an American Francisco Franco to achieve it.
But sure, you can equate that to Bernie and Liz in your simple mind
