His name is Alexander "Xan" John. He's more of the Clay Higgins type than the Charles Boustany type.
Scion of a prominent family in Acadia Parish, he does not need the money or power most politicians run for.

I think that Shreveport mayor is a decently strong candidate on the democrat side so I hate to say it, but I'll vote for Cassidy simply to not split the conservative vote. I'd rather Cassidy than take the chance with having a democrat pick up that seat.

He doesn’t need to increase his net worth by being in Congress. He can make decisions based on what’s truly best for Louisianans.
