Well, I would agree with you except for the control on buying and selling. Without some type of mark, there is no way for the Beast to exert its control.
The mark will be an actual item.

You don’t think you have a digital ID or you don’t think a digital ID is the mark of the beast? Maybe I’m conflating different poster arguments here, but I thought the whole reason folks were getting their panties in a bunch over this ID 2020 thing was that a digital ID was suppose to be akin to the mark of the beast?

What the OP posted is definitely something that works toward the ultimate Mark of the Beast. What you have mentioned is something that works toward the Mark of the Beast. Neither are the actual Mark of the Beast.
The Mark of the Beast will not be something that is hidden. It will be readily accepted by many in the populace as an outward sign of worship of the Beast.

Yep. Don’t mean to be contentious, but that poster trying to say the Mark of the Beast is somehow attributed to whether believers work on the Sabbath or not was strange.

I’m talking about some type device that’s implanted into your body and I don’t know what you are considering this national ID you claim we already possess? Unless I’ve been tricked, my body doesn’t contain any internal tracking devices.

I still don't believe the mark of the beast is a chip or tattoo or brand in/on the hand or forehead.
The sign of God is obeying his commandments (including not doing regular work on the Sabbath) and it is figuratively written on the hands and forehead of his followers, thus, the sign of the beast that is also written on the hands and forehead of his followers would be the opposite of the sign of God.{quote}
I disagree..its definitely a black and white choice we make at that particular time..revelation 14 9-11 states clearly that it is a choice that we make and discusses the punishment of such choice.
These verses are meant to be a crystal clear warning and not to be taken figuratively. I believe that because the consequences of man using his own thinking on something like this has way too many negative connotations for our future than if we just read it like it says..
it just takes common sense to extrapolate from the Bible what is a parable and what is real.

Believe what you want. Revelation is probably the most argued about book of the Bible between believers. However, your interpretation does not account for the ability to control buying and selling.
The absolute most important thing is for one to believe that Jesus came, died on the cross for your sins, conquered death, and has prepared a place for you in heaven. That, changes your life.
And yes, I suck at life and sin every day before some of my friends come in here and point it out for me... TIA...

It will likely be a chip implanted in the hand. If you don't believe in the concept, look what's going on in China. As of right now (as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak there), if a Chinese citizen's phone doesn't have a green signal, you don't get on a bus or into an employer's building or the grocery store. There are scanners at the entrance that must register a green signal when you scan your phone over it.
