...and it's still being debated if the gun was pulled from his waste band or his hand.
Lol. You are just shameless in the shite you will make up. No one---not even DHS---claimed that Pretti was going for his gun...much less that the gun was pulled from his hand.

A Department of Homeland Security report sent to Congress and obtained by ABC News says that two federal officers discharged their firearms during the shooting of Alex Pretti on Saturday in Minneapolis. At no point in the report does DHS say Pretti attempted to reach for his weapon.
The report says DHS conducted a preliminary review of body-worn camera footage and Customs and Border Protection documentation from the scene and is notifying lawmakers of what they say are key details from before and after Pretti was shot and killed.
The timeline notes that while agents attempted to take Pretti into custody, a struggle ensued and "a BPA [Border Patrol Agent] yelled 'He's got a gun!' multiple times."

disingenuous horseshite. why else was he there? just an innocent bystander walking down the street huh? frick off
Try to keep up. It doesn't matter if Pretti were interfering or obstructing. The only legal issue is did the agents reasonably fear that he presented a threat of serious bodily injury or death when he was shot.
FAFO is fun, but it's not a legal doctrine.

The only problem with your bullshite post is that we all saw the fricking pictures of the guy brandishing a fricking pistol.
Does logic or reason even resonate at all with you any more.
Logic and reason always resonate with me. That's why some of you hate me so much. I expose your delusions.
Be a hero. Find a photo or video of Pretti "brandishing a pistol" on the day he was shot and I will ban myself. Otherwise admit you are a hopeless liar.
Deal?

I'm not sure what you mean by all this, but in this case you have people claiming "we all saw Pretti brandished his gun" and "they might have pulled his gun from his hand!"... and I'm the troll?

When was the mind reading technology developed to rate their fear?
Who determines if it is "reasonable"?

A jury after consideration of the evidence and the law.

None of us know all the facts in the Pretti case. We don't even have the statement of the agent that shot him in the back of the head. We haven't seen the bodycam footage.
Personally, I think the public is entitled to transparency in any of the 20 DHS shootings. Obviously, most of y'all don't think that. It only leads to accusations of cover ups.
FWIW, the legal system (rightfully so) is favorable to law enforcement. Why hide the evidence?
[quote]Looking at all fatal police killings, rather than only those resulting in charges, the percentage is dramatically lower. Everytown's analysis of Mapping Police Violence data for 2021–2025 found 5,693 people killed by police, 66 officers charged, and 11 convicted. That's roughly 0.19% of fatal police killings resulting in an officer conviction.

Seems an off duty Austin police officer did have some video of the illegal driving away from ICE and they eventually tboned his car.
The illegal's lawyer says "He didnt know who was trying to stop him and he was just trying to get to a safe place". Ya gotta be kidding me

Yup. I posted about that. The Austin police officer video showed Perez stopped, being questioned by ICE 15 minutes before the shooting. Kills his claim that he didn't know who was chasing him.
Funny, but irrelevant to whether or not he posed a threat to the ICE recruit who shot him in the back.
