Just remember Cleo whenever you vote again for Governor. I'm no fan of Garrett Graves but he is clearly an upgrade over Cleo. And GG made a hilariously bad mistake in endorsing Wagues in the Govenor's race that Wagues was never going to win. Wagues of the "I'm an outsider even though I have been the head of LABI for years" ilk. Landry sought retribution and got it.
I'm on the fence on Landry - I have a feeling his Louisiana version of DOGE will not be nearly as impactful as the federal version. Landry is too much of a good ole boy for him to go around slashing the state bureaucracy.
Id vote for a worm before i vote for Cleo

That’s cool. Let me know where I did that.
Since you asked

Cleo was in, no matter who the governor was. The voters for a 2nd district had no choice but to come from BR. New Orleans already had theirs
Stop pretending like Wags was going to prevent that. The federal judge was drawing the lines if Wags refused to do so.

So the only district was one that included Cleo? Letlow’s district was never a consideration?
I also never said wags was going to stop that. I think wags is a bigger piece of shite than just about everyone else in that race.
You are inserting meanings to my posts that are simply not there.

Cleos former district was drawn out of Letlows current one.

Fields ran in 1992 in a district stretching in a "Z" shape from Shreveport to Baton Rouge. He finished first in a crowded seven-way primary, coming roughly 1,500 votes short of winning outright. He was forced into a runoff against fellow state senator Charles D. Jones of Monroe, which Fields won with more than 73 percent of the vote.
Fun fact: you dont have to live in the House district you run in.

Because he belongs to a cult that is totally focused on achieving power by any means necessary.

I know. This may shock you - some of us have kept up with Louisiana politics for more than the past 4 years. Im still just wondering why I was called ignorant and you said my reasoning was retarded when I never said whatever it is you think I said. I never said he was responsible for giving us a second democrat rep. But he did use his influence to make it as easy as possible for Cleo to walk in. I gather you didn’t like my comment about Landry being responsible for fields? Even though I think any person without some sort of bias can clearly see that Landry had his hands all over that. Landry hasn’t been shy about doing things that have been ruled unconstitutional - he has no issue bucking federal courts.

I've told you on multiple pages in this thread that Cleo was winning that seat no matter what. Thats why even Graves didnt attempt to run against him, the incumbent
The ONLY thing Landry influenced was which Rep. got the axe. Graves made it way too easy for Landry, by kicking sand in everyones faces in the run up to the court challenge
My demeaning your comment was specifically about you claiming Cleo won only because of Landry. The election took care of itself. Cleo won without a runoff. Hes known in the black community. Landry did nothing to help. So "remembering Landry" at election time was a ludicrous statement, since the Fed judge was who put Cleo there. You just took a shot at Landry, because you wanted to. Not because you had anything to back up your assertion

I guess that’s my issue with Landry. He could have used his influence to push the issue to keep the map 5-1. Thanks for clarifying - I better understand your stance now.
