The opposition has used polls for decades to drive sheeple. They will generally say "the American people are at 34% regarding...." in order to lead the sheeple.
Polling companies are as anti-conservative as Hollywood.

2016. The talking heads said polling predicted Hillary Clinton had a 90% chance of being the next president. After Trumps win is when I figured out that these polls are nothing more than propaganda tools.

Trump has high numbers with Republicans who vote in Republican primaries.
Mid-terms will be determined by independents and those who don’t follow politics enough to vote in primaries but show up to vote in the main election.
I’m hoping it’s a case of people dislike the Republicans but dislike the Democrats more. But that’s not how midterms typically go.
