I think Trump has taken inventory of who is with the US and who is spineless.

I've heard the same BS for over 30 years from many Democratic Socialists and Republican politicians in the US and from various nations who are supposedly US allies. I've hear them all repeatedly say that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. Guess what? Trump said you're right, and he busted the move.
I could make an argument whether the timing of the attack against Iran was appropriate, maybe the operation could have waited until after the midterms? Many from the West and from Islam believe this confrontation was unavoidable and inevitable. Short of some serious reformation of Islam this confrontation between the West and Islam was coming and I don't think the Islamic Regime in Iran was interested in reforming their brand of Islam.
When I stated in the OP that Trump has taken inventory of all the NATO and ME allies who were serious about Iran not getting a nuclear weapon, well, I think we all found out exactly where the US and NATO's relationship is today......kaput!!!! As bad as the NATO members have been the supposed ME allies of the US have been somewhat accommodating, but why wouldn't they be accommodating? They're essentially protectorates of the US and they're getting very wealthy on $110/barrel oil.
If the US wanted to temporarily withhold all US energy production from the global market while at the same time ramping up domestic production coupled with increased production in Venezuela the US could make it work for the US/American people until those who have higher stakes in ME oil production and transportation get their shite together on how to deal with Iran. It's time for the EU and other ME nations to take some responsibility for the safe passage of the oil in and out of the Strait of Hormuz. The US did the heavy lift, time for some other nations to put some skin in the game.

I think you're right.
And as inconvenient as the timing may be, it's pretty useful knowledge to have... knowledge I'm sure admin47 already had, but now thanks to the 24/7 news cycle, we ALL have now.
