They pretend the lawfare, spying, scandal making, media hysteria, all dies when Trump leaves. Another term of Biden will only make it worse, and Ron's talents will be completely wasted - IF he could even win at that point.
The only sensible path is leverage Trump's monumental vanity and push him to gut the IC and DOJ, clearing a path to sensible Republican governance going forward.

He will be undermined for four years by the IC and we will be back to where we are today. I know it's defeatist, but it's why I would prefer to have someone like Ron who can probably navigate the swamp a little better.
