I really do envy the Amish

Now they're fricked up. But can you imagine the peace they live in without this shite? Everyone of us has gotten off facebook and felt how fricking great your life became. The more we cut the more we fricking love it. Period. It's crazy. You actually fricking feel your life get better. It's tough because someone has to watch the government because they're not going to do the right thing over the course of 50 years if gone unwatched, as we're witnessing now. But as an isolated pocket with their own problems I'm sure, it must be a relatively peaceful way to live this one and only life we get to play ball with.

It is entirely possible to emulate Amish living without Amish theology; all that is required is capital, land, and an enforced communitarian contract. < THAT is the future I hope comes about.

A lot of people have issues and a lot of people's issues get better the farther they are from social media. Didn't know I broke news to you. You ever actually been around Amish? It's not as glamorous as you think. The women probably put in more work than most of the people who post on here.

I grew up near one in rural Wisconsin. Big Amish and Mennonite community. Used to always see the Amish men in Wal-Mart, they had permanent scowls. Everybody looked slightly inbred but they were nice enough when you talked to them, they also ran good produce and knick-knack stores and are tremendous carpenters.

There is a large Mennonite community in my area. They are like Amish with cars and other technology. However, they don’t watch television. They fascinate me. Good, hard-working people.
