I don't think that alone would move me off Trump, but of course it would indeed be noteworthy. But I don't think that would necessarily be a shocking event given Desantis' current standing in Florida.

The ability to lock up Florida's 31 electoral votes early in the night with comfortable margins is an asset that would be amazing for a GOP presidential nominee.

Having that much good standing in Florida would allow you to spend more money and focus more resources in the rust belt and be able to win PA, WI, and MI with a better margin instead of the razor thin margins that Trump won them with in 2016, it would also be helpful in shoring up North Carolina and Georgia as well.

I'll put it like this: I have complete faith that the both of them will cooperate and do what results in the best chance to defeat the Democrat, and if it becomes obvious that Desantis is the guy, then I'll be behind him 100%. If on the other hand it becomes obvious that Trump will be the guy, then I will assume that they're on top of the situation behind the scenes and on the same page, and needless to say I'll be behind Trump 100%. I will also say that I wouldn't be very concerned about Trump having the upper hand on the Democrat in Florida anyway. I have plenty of confidence in his standing there as well.
