I Live in Texas, But I Would Advise Eddie Rispone to Run This Proposed TV Ad

I come back to Louisiana 5-6 times a year, but one thing that I always notice is the wall-to-wall commercials which the personal injury attorneys, AKA the "Ambulance chasers," run on Louisiana television stations. My Dad likes to watch different local newscasts between 4-5:30 PM, and I swear that practically the only ads I see are being run by these slimeballs. Morris Bart, the lawyer on the truck, the two brothers, etc.

In addition, I noticed recently that Morris Bart personally donated $250K to the John Bel Edwards campaign. Hardly surprising, since trial lawyers have historically been major contributors to Democrat candidates.

The gist of the ad?

1) Rispone talks about all the commercials that personal injury attorneys run in Louisiana and says, "Wouldn't you know it? Under John Bel Edwards, the only growth-industry in Louisiana has been these ambulance-chasing lawyers who have thrived during the Governor's first term in office."

2) The ad would then display various personal injury lawyers and how much each one has contributed to either Governor Edwards or a PAC which is supporting Edwards. I only have first-hand knowledge of the $250K contribution by Morris Bart, but if he's donated that much then the others have ponied up hefty amounts, too. Names, faces, and $$$ amounts contributed would fill the screen.

3) I'd end the ad with Eddie Rispone standing on top of an 18-wheeler mocking the ad by that one lawyer (Gordon?). Rispone could say something like, "We need to create a business environment in Louisiana that promotes job growth and economic prosperity for everybody. Not just the lawyer on the truck."

I guarantee it would resonate with voters. My Dad lives in North Shreveport, but we visit relatives in the Baton Rouge area and those personal injury commercials run all the time there, too.

Let's be honest. Everybody HATES those slimy ambulance chasers except when they need one.
