...I'll ask anyway. If we are entrusted to vote on our fearless leaders, why can't we vote on things like the save act or other legislation?

We'd be voting constantly.

We'd also be voting on shite like renaming post offices. Ain't nobody got time for that.

You, nor hardly anyone else, would be reading CRS's and CBO's to become informed on the various issues.

We are a representative form of governance. If the people are too lazy to vote out the people that don't actually vote in their interest, then that's on them.

With AI it is pretty easy to get a summary of these things and to understand what's in them. It will increasingly become more difficult to hide things in bills, which is why we are seeing the politicians just brazenly doing the stuff they used to hide.
