Bernie needs at least a little color (ideally female, but I don't think that's mandatory) and preferably someone from the South or Midwest. If Castro's views weren't so similar, maybe. If Booker was from the Midwest.
Yang is probably going to be the choice if it is Bernie, just because nothing else makes a lot of sense (certainly Bernie's people aren't stupid enough to tab Abrams or anyone like her). Booker might also make sense, just because they think of the country being the Mid-Atlantic area, New England and California.

Church and George Will didn't raise alarm bells because of his "Skull and Bones" or even that he was actually a CIA covert operative, but rather that he was too partisan. Essentially he had to agree to not run for President in 1976, because how terrifying would that have been for the CIA director to be running for President, right?

He was only there for a year and then Turner dismantled the HUMINT capacity of the CIA for a generation. So, I don't know how much good 1 year on that post HW was able to do for the globalists.
No question that as a political figure he spoke in globalist terms and pursued globalist policies (however well-intentioned or not).
That doesn't change my analysis that from certainly the early 50s through his ascendency to upper levels of politics in the 1980s, HW was almost certainly a covert asset of the CIA.
