In case you were wondering why I was posting these past few days, I was in denial. My seven your old son crying today made me realize what an a-hole I was.

Don't make the idiotic mistake I did. Please.

Glad you are still with us man! Just take the wake up call for what it is and run with it. You got this!

Dude. Hang in there. And best of luck. Cardiac folks can do some amazing stuff these days.

It's a challange for any career focused parent to stay fit. But find the time. The time you spend will likely pay off down the road. You'll enjoy the time you have more as well.

quit worrying

Yeah, reality by locality, bro...

Start with yourself...fix that first...sadly it needs to be #1 priority, even above your son...

Then...then put family on the pedestal...

Good to have you around and Kickin, though

When you check off all the things before it, worry #678 should be whether foreign policy kicks some poor mom out of the country...or police beat that arse...

Hey man, hope your heart and health improve. Just because we disagree on politics doesn't mean we hope bad on anybody. Seems like you know what you need to do and I hope nothing but the best for you.

Whether you're a religious man or not, those of is that are will say a prayer for you.

We have our disagreements but you're one of the good ones

Do you have a history in your family of heart issues?

I had heart attack last week.
i had one when i was 43 years old....you can go on and be well from now on....walking and diet, say that over and over.....then do it....a little trick concerning atatins....i am one of those that cannot tolerate statins, not even a little bit...."red yeast rice, read up on it in case you might be like that,too...two decades with no more problems with the heart....i may drop dead today from a heart attack, but i'm running out of years anyway....good luck, and being heart healthy really is not that hard to do

Best wishes, Euro. While I disagree with your political leanings, I've always respected your intelligence and civility.
This place is better with you in it.
I'm 57, and have dropped 30 lbs. in a month on keto. Feel great.

You can do it!

About 2 years ago, I was walking into a hotel in Surfside Beach, SC with my girlfriend for a beach weekend. I was so out of breath walking from the car to the lobby and I was pouring sweat. I was so embarrassed by it I decided to make a change. Since then, I've lost almost 90 lbs. It can be done my friend. Good luck.

Diet is important but exercise is essential as you get older. Start slowly and be patient. Glad you are still with us.

This LSU board community might very well be the best board in the land.

I thought I would mention my health probelms.

I know that you know that I - well lets just say I am not the most popuar guy here.

So many posters posted the nicest of things.

I will always post the best of you guys to all my pals.

LSU rocks.

As others have stated, Keto is amazing and will help with weight and inflammation greatly. Also, acupuncture for proper bloodflow and body connectivity is wonderful. Get your mind right and the body will follow, this board would be terrible without the resident liberal low T bashing on a daily basis. We need you Skitch!

52 and an idiot.
I doubt it's because of idiocy. Heart disease is heavily genetic. I've heard of thin guys with 90% blockages that barely noticed difficulties during exercise. In fact, the settled science on cholesterol is no longer so settled. Cholesterol in ones diet is not nearly as impactful as previously claimed. If you are morbidly obese then that is another issue.

I'm very happy that you're still with us, especially for your child's sake.
