I think you're the one that is confused. What is so hard to understand? Swallowswell was gloating and mocking Trump then he had to drop out of the race for being a piece of shite. Thus, it didn't age well for him.

But he didn’t drop out of the race because he said “frick ice and frick Trump”. OP said the tweet didn’t age well. What in the tweet didn’t age well? Trump had nothing to do with him dropping out. There is no correlation between the tweet and what ended up happening to Swalswell.

If he had said “Trump is a piece of shite misogynist and should resign….”, then he himself had to resign for those things, that would be the correct use of “this didn’t age well.”
