I remember not that long ago on this board then opposing action in the Syria was referred to as supporting Putin. It will be interesting to watch as some people on the board left and right flip

I remember not that long ago when Trump took office and first engaged Syria the ONLY member of his chief counsel opposed to the strikes was Bannon. I remember because the media crucified him for being the only person opposed. Trump has surrounded himself with neo-cons and is on the brink of breaking another promise.

Mark my words this will be a mistake and if we successfully remove Assad the person who replaces him or people who replace him will be worse

Yes. Which is EXACTLY why we will do it.

I'm 46 and can't remember a time in my adult life that we weren't blowing people up in the ME. Maybe a short time after desert storm?

We were still enforcing the no fly zone in Iraq from the end of Desert Storm until 2003.

All this endless war, and we still refused to go into Rwanda in '94 to stop the genocide of 500,000 men, women, and children.

I looked it up after I typed that and I could not believe how long we have been in "conflicts" in the ME. It's pathetic.
