James Woods lost his home. He's hardly a liberal or supporter of Bass and Newsom.

Right. There's a large area of this country, like the entire Western U.S., that is very dry, sees like 300 days of sunshine a year. This was the perfect storm of dryness, crazy hurricane type wind conditions and a fire being sparked... Same thing happened in Colorado like a year ago or so.

We should definitely be implementing some of the things they do in Finland but they get 2x the precipitation of LA (20-30 inches vs 10-15) and the average temperature is 30 degrees lower (36F vs 66F). It’s a very different situation.

These are the same Americans that wanted flyover states to suffer during covid, cheered for deaths in red areas, are home to people that endorse the 'frick your freedom' tirades from people like Arnold, wanted all red areas to have collapsed economies, ridicule red areas for being 'too poor' to have beachfront property, castigate red areas for lack of gun control, not being progressive when it comes to censorship, cheer when red areas have hurricanes or tornadoes and say they deserve it for not buying into the climate propaganda, call red areas racists for wanting secure borders and routinely chant 'blue no matter who' - and now they are getting the consequences of 'blue no matter who'.
Fires in CA are one of the most profound FAFO political consequences in the US.
Over-generalized nonsense. There are more Republicans, conservatives, or otherwise normal people who vote in California than there are in most of the Southeast combined.
You guys realize that 100% of the people living in California are not liberals. Like 40% of the voting population is conservative. Karen Bass barely beat a guy that was a fairly conservative billionaire businessman to be Mayor. Not all of california is downtown L.A. and downtown SF. It is not entirely impossible that California couldn't flip back to a majority red state. You nerds celebrating this are no better than the libs who celebrate hurricanes, floods and tornadoes hitting coastal areas and locales in conservative states and conservative areas.

No one is disputing any of that.
But you're leaving out the most important details that have been laid out very clearly in this thread.
- redirecting millions of gallons water to save a 3 inch fish
- unfinished and empty reservoirs that were approved a decade ago
- terrible land management policies from Newsome and the state government
- lack of preventative maintenance on the highly flammable dry forest floors
- $18 million diverted funds by Karen Bass
- empahsis on DEI over competence
and on and on.
This isn't the first fire in California. They weren't caught by surprise. Trump has been warning them for years about this very issue. He warned 4 months when he was on the JRE podcast. He warned them when he was in LA recently. He warned Newsom when he visited during the fires of 2018.

No, LA County was not 90-10. 65% voted for Biden, but there basically the same number of GOP votes in LA County as there were in Louisiana.

Some of the stuff in California is very fricked up, but there’s always going to be Monday morning quarterbacking. It’s critical, it should happen. A lot of this is just people enjoying watching the other side burn.
This State has a big problem with wildfires. Always has. If I know this, you know this, and everyone else knows this, then what we are witnessing is gross maleficence and negligence. Forestry management is almost non-existent, fire hydrants going dry because they would rather protect a minnow than collect rainfall for reservoirs. On top of that, the Dem mayor SLASHED the firefighting budget AND gave away a massive amount of equipment to freaking Ukraine!
This isn't "Monday morning quarterbacking"! This is "I told you to get your shite together, now look what you've done, Dumbass!"

There was live coverage a few min. ago on Fox showing an apartment on fire with firefighters and a firetruck but no sign of water to put the flames out.
The firefighters went into the building and got someone out and the ladder was out on the truck but no water.

If you're having a difficult time having sympathy for fellow Americans there is a pretty simple reason why. It's because you're a shitty person.
Judging by the 306 downvotes and counting, I don't think you understand what he was saying.
I will say it in simply layman terms- You can't help what doesn't want to help itself!!
