Drugs and human trafficking daily is a pretty big emergency, for which emergency declarations have been in place for several years alrdy.

Yeah and the most efficient way to counter act that would be to hire more customs at legal ports of entery. The vast majority of human trafficking, illegal drugs, and ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS (people overstaying visas vastly outweighs people who corssed the border) comes through legal ports of entry. Customs is a JOKE.

Luckily Trump’s demand for border security resulted in additional funds being allocated for things such as ports of entry.
But these issues also occur at the border. Stating they occur elsewhere also does not reduce seriousness of issue at border.
