It would be wonderful if the NFL season is cancelled due to health concerns and these self indulgent and self important athletes had to deal with the real life economics the rest of us face.
Here is an economic equation the vocal NFL players should consider:
If enough fans get offended by these privileged athletes, NFL revenue will fall.
When NFL revenues fall, salary caps get reduced.
When salary caps get reduced, $100 million salaries go away.

You can be replaced for less money and headache.
Go ask Antonio Brown and Colin Kaepernick.
The rioters can pay for the NFL tickets and watch the games on TV.
Something tells me that this niche market of rioters and SJWs will collapse the NFL revenue stream.
When a consumer is mistreated, they find other ways to spend their money.
Between COVID-19 and this unrest, the NFL may have to abbreviate the season resulting in less game paychecks.
Players may start getting cut and then resigned for smaller salaries.
It will be a domino effect.
There are other ways to fight injustice.
Insulting the typical NFL fans that actually spend the money is a very poor market model.
Pay the NFL employees that actually want to work at their job.
The SJWs can protest and witchhunt on their own unemployed time or newly acquired non-NFL job.
The fans have the real power of the purse.
We, the fans, can shape whatever NFL entertainment or product we choose to watch or not watch.

My interest in college and pro sports is waning by the day and frankly it feels quite liberating.

We get it you guys are all so sophisticated that you don't need the NFL anymore. We can close this thread now.

I don't plan to watch and hopefully the same will be said for millions more.
The only NFL games I recall seeing in the past few years were the Falcons blowing the Super Bowl and Deshaun Watson's first game. Part of that is having two kids under 4, part of it is I'm fed up with politics being injected into entertainment

Yes, he capitulated, as usual placing team ( Saints, New Orleans, NFL) above himself in the face of withering criticism from the deplorable and despicable media, his own triggered Saints teammates, and hypocritical fans. Its unfortunate he did not retain the courage of his convictions which were not racist, but were patriotic and appreciative.

He got a call 1 hour after his comments hit the press, with a pre-written apology ready to go, and he copied and pasted it to instagram. He had to fall in line.

And y’all make fun of the left for being snowflake bitches

But it’s just hard because I honestly, genuinely love football and everything (except for the politics) that comes with it
I'm sure the NFL billionaire owners, who support looters beating "little people and no account small businesses" who have supported and help them build their fortunes won't mind if you watch for free.

It has been cancelled as far as I’m concerned.

Honestly living without sports I have gotten used to.
But these whinny self righteous millionaires calling me a racist because I am white can get fricked.
I am seriously considering not watching even if they do turn it back on.
I mean I have been to an NBA game, 90% of the fans are WHITE and 99.9% of the players are black, there is no racism get over yourselves.

What they did to Drew was wrong. It’s so insane how easily offended people get these days. To the point where someone’s life can be destroyed for disagreeing with how someone protests. He doesn’t even disagree with what they’re protesting about, just how they chose to protest. Me personally, I don’t give a shite how people protest as long as it’s non violent, but I saw nothing disrespectful about what he said. He’s not even outraged by the kneeling just doesn’t agree with it himself. I can’t fricking believe how people are reacting to shite right now.
