That's because the US has a relatively young population.. nothing to do with mitigation efforts.
Average age of population:
USA 38.4
Italy 45.4
Spain 43.1
UK 40
Sweden 41.2
Now do rates of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.

So the pattern I'm seeing is--once a state reaches 15-20% seroprevalence, cases will quickly fall, and the "death spiral" will lag 15-21 days behind that. Lockdowns, etc. just stretch out the period until that magical seroprevalence is achieved. Am I understanding it properly?
--->> basically the lockdowns not only didnt help....they without question made everything much worse. (intentionally?)
worse by extended period before the magic 15% seroprevalence level was reached.
the lockdowns and the idiotic mask mandates simply extended the hardships (cause not by the virus..but by our "leaders" decisions)
..buy hey, we did successfully ruin many many people's small businessess and we destroyed main street businesses in america.

If we knew back in March...
* Up to 80% population would have natural resistance to the virus
* We'd overcount deaths by up to 40-50%
* Kids <18 would have ~100 hospitalizations per 1 million (0.01%)
* <65 survival rate would be ~99.9%
...where would we be now? Not here.

my humble opinion..
those that pushed this covid scare.. that ruined lives for whatever their reason...
...they need to pay.
one way or another.
the fearmongering should not be forgotten...or forgiven.

New York and Jersey.
It’s the same in other countries. Take away Northern Italy and Italy looks great. Take away Clyde’s four TDs and Bama beats LSU. Inane!

Where did he get the numbers for overestimating deaths by 40-50%? And why hasn't Trump brought that up yet?

When are we going to learn, it is not the number of cases, it is the number of case/100000 that matters, to say nothing of having a standardized and reliable way of collecting the data. You can't compare Honduras to the USA in total # of cases.

Take out a couple states and we look pretty good
Take out Cuomo and several dem govs, and our rate would be much lower. NY had 8 times the deaths of Florida even though Florida has a much larger over 65 population.

I guess I'm a bit confused by what you're trying to say in your post.
From that graph, it appears the US has about twice as many news cases as the EU, and I believe the EU has roughly 35% more in terms of population than we do, so I'm not sure what I'm missing, but that would mean we're doing a shite ton worse than them, no?
