re: Hunter Biden Lawyers Impersonating Congressional Staff to Remove Derogatory Evidence

no, OM, I am saying that it would be ridiculous to just blindly except her recitation as being entirely accurate.
as far as I can tell, the only uncontested fact of this entire situation is that Bengels called the clerk and used her real name and that the clerks’s office called her back at her Latham phone number.
I would be very interesting to see the recollection of events from the first clerk (“Julia”) versus the second clerk (as yet unidentified).

Ok, so you can make assumptions about the clerk, but making assumptions about the other side is not appropriate?
Welcome to his style. Does it all the time.

Like believing the Latham lawyers because of your partisan nature and dismissing the person that has absolutely nothing to gain by lying, the clerk?

I respect the hustle. If my lawyers aren’t trying everything then what am I even paying them for? I’m not above cheating the court to stay out of jail, especially if I’m a degenerate, money-laundering heroin addict

This is the most-probative fact in this dispute. It is nearly-dispositive, IMO

dismissing the person that has absolutely nothing to gain by lying, the clerk?
based upon the facts that I have seen, my evaluation is that the situation does not involve anyone as an “evil doer“ or “liar.” There was simply a miscommunication. It happens.

Latham provided her real name and her real phone number. If she were doing something nefarious, she would not have done that.
Like those that lied on the FISA applications? They used fake names when they lied to the court, right? Because nobody would use their real name when they lie to the court. Right? You’re so naive.

And in an entirely different quantum from what we are discussing.

Not naive!
Tolerant!
Tolerant of corrupt law.

Oops just a AggieHank misunderstanding.
They got caught with a hand in the cookie jar.
Biden’s attorneys called the debacle an “unintentional miscommunication.” They said the call was placed by an experienced administrative staff member at the firm, who is not a practicing attorney, and that they introduced themselves when making the call.
“We have no idea how the misunderstanding occurred, but our understanding is there was no misrepresentation,” wrote Matthew Salerno, an attorney on Biden’s legal team.

She may have provided a Latham phone number, but what is at issue is whether she misrepresented who she represented.

I am a former federal prosecutor, and I literally cannot believe what just happened in Hunter Biden’s tax fraud case.
Based on what has been made public, here is what I think the story is:
The House Ways and Means Committee, led by Chairman
@JasonSmithMO
, filed documents relating to their investigation of Hunter Biden’s criminal enterprise with the Court overseeing his tax fraud case, in which he is scheduled to plead guilty in a sweetheart deal tomorrow.
An attorney associated with Hunter Biden’s legal team contacted the court clerk’s office, falsely claimed to be part of the House Ways and Means legal team, and asked the clerk to pull the adverse filing for technical reasons.
The court figured out what happened, and is now demanding answers from Hunter’s team as to why they apparently lied to the court in what appears to be a desperate attempt to prevent evidence of his criminal enterprise from being put on the record in his tax fraud case.
This is not irregular; this is insane.

They’ve been in there for an hour and a half.
I don’t know how well that bodes for Hunter. It doesn’t seem like a cut-and-dried plea deal where papers are signed should take that long.

Oh, well then. I guess that clears it all up!
