Prison reform?
Please explain
I do prison ministry. A lot of inmates are in scorching heat in the summer in Texas and the South (no air conditioning) and die or suffer from overheating. Their water can have heavy metals in it, some are fed too little food and are in slow starvation, and some people get absolutely extreme, ridiculous sentences (such as 45 years merely for dealing some drugs.) Prison guards are paid too little and hence job turnover is super high and they have little incentive to do a job well. Numerous inmates got Covid because prisons refused to take the virus seriously. The whole thing needs a top to bottom reform.

I’m pro freedom small Govt nationalist. I think in order to keep a free nation and our liberties is to have a federal government that has a few very important functions. Maintain a strong military, law and order, oversee a justice system that is fair and always assumes innocence rather than guilt, and the only regulation on businesses/economy are to preserve our natural rights. I.e Social media platforms can’t suppress free speech, businesses can’t stop workers from unionizing but at the same time workers have the right to opt out of a union. Immigration should be controlled based on merit and needs of the economy, only allow people who believe in the ideals of America.
