this is a good read about what DNI Gabbard was achieving behind the scenes. Sundance does an excellent job at describing the DC silos that are designed to shield the different agencies from inspection of their activities. He goes into detail in the article linked.

The restaurant analogy is a good one ….

excerpt:
quote:

Gabbard walked into the restaurant, selected her own seat, started to look at the menu options, and began closely watching how the employees were interacting and asking what their functional value to the American people who are paying the bills.

Tulsi Gabbard didn’t do this arbitrarily. Again, look at the operation described.

In 2025, Marco Rubio is the maître d’, and John Ratcliffe is the chef. It was all of the people who “profit by the preservation of the old institution” who immediately became the people who freaked out.

Sticking with the metaphor, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) is like the public Health Dept. They are supposed to do the food safety and quality inspections. Unfortunately, the SSCI inspectors are easily bribed and as a consequence there is no oversight per se.

The Restaurant donates to the health inspectors, provides them influence and affluence, and like a mafia operation the inspectors fear the restaurant owners they are supposed to oversee. [Schumer: “Seven ways from Sunday”]

For decades the multinational restaurant business operated without interruption. Each maître d’ simply smiled and casually palmed the indulgency bribes from the arriving guests. The status of the restaurant expanded with everyone making bank.

Tulsi just walking in and sitting down was like Eliot Ness casually walking into Al Capone’s favorite speakeasy. The IC equivalent of a WTF moment.

I personally believe Tulsi is one of the bravest women this country has ever known.

If you consider they killed Seth Rich for simply releasing emails…. What do you think these folks would like to do to Tulsi?

Her contributions should never be forgotten.

After a lifetime of observation and realization, I've come to the conclusion females should not be in high leadership roles... but damn if Tulsi Gabbard doesn't go and prove me wrong - as the exception to a rule.

She puts many of us to shame -- really admire her love, devotion and service she has given this country.

Of course, Hillary called her 'compromised' years ago... I should have written to her... stating "I was already a sold on Ms. Gabbard, Hilda-beast, no need to oversell".

She's not out of trouble yet. I think they will get her once she's out of the spotlight

I wondered the same thing as well. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
