Yes, there's some nuance to my position. In some districts there is no viable Democrat running, and there's a Republican incumbent. If that Republican is being challenged by an Independent or another Republican, then vote for that challenger. Certainly, don't vote for the Democrat, and under no circumstances should any Democrat in this nation get a vote, whether it's local, state, or federal. The DNC has gone completely insane.

I continually look at races and early on there is almost always a new Independent or a new Republican going up against a Democrat or Republican incumbent. Those incumbents have to go. We keep focusing on November, understandably, but we have to support challengers early and get them to the finish line.

We can stop the bleeding in 2024 by simply voting against Democrats, even if it means voting for a Republican, but any "vote Republican" default setting puts us right back where we are now. Voting for a Republican is only acceptable when it's done to vote against a Democrat. One needs to look no further than Lindsey Graham to see the futility of a "vote Republican" default.

The one thing I think people forget, when suggesting that the race always comes down to a D v R, is that if you purge either one, you purge an element of the uni-party. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. The alternative candidates are out there. Vote for them. It's impossible for them to do worse than what we have now.

Get the Democrats out - that is the #1 priority.
Get the Republicans out - that is the #2 priority.
But both have to go.
If you vote for an incumbent Republican or Democrat, nothing changes.
If you vote Republican over Democrat incumbents, maybe something changes.
If you vote new Independent or new Republican over incumbent Republican, maybe something changes.
We must have change.

You do what you've always done, you get what you always got. We can't keep going down that road. It's destroying the country.

We shouldn't let the utter treason by the Democrats force us into a corner where we vote for Republicans by default, who are really no different, overall.

As an Independent, it's maddening to watch people on this site, over and over and over again, express their frustration with Republicans. And at the end of the day, they refuse to walk away from the RNC and find an alternative. I see the same thing from liberals and progressives when I watch Jimmy Dore and similar programs. Things don't change unless you force them to change. Our politicians are not going to wake up one day and decide to do the right thing. You have to remove them at the ballot box and not give them any more chances.

The People are the fountain of power in this nation. It's time we act like it.

Ike had to kill off FDR and Trumans war debt. We could use another to fix this issue we have.

1. Vote Republican = No. Vote for the person who best fits YOUR personal concept of 'good governing'

2. Reinstate 3 Strike Laws = Limit use to certain felonies, e.g. robbery, assault, etc. Not for minor crimes.

3. Increase criminal penalties = revise the federal penal code if you must, but would rather see judicial reform to prevent some frivolous lawsuits.

4. Close the border = and do it NOW

5. Repeal birthright citizenship = means repeal and replace the 14th Amendment, which I can support. Also, can limit who a naturalized or amnestied person can bring in as 'family'

6. ...caught here illegally = nah, just fine the hell out of the employers, like $5,000 or $10,000 per. And then deport the illegals and put the employers on a 'watch list'.

7. Clean up our schools = good luck. Diminish DOEd. States take back ownership. But this will take re-commitment to family values, which is noncompulsory.

8. Start using the death penalty = Agree.

9. Stop incentivizing out of wedlock births = Yes. The beginning of re-establishing 'family values'. 2 parent families get 100% of benefits. Single parent family gets reduced value after first child.

10. Reinstate Workfare that Clinton and Gingrich enacted.

11. repeal and replace the 17th Amendment

12. Cut SS rates to 4% [8% total], remove cap, Institute a 1% pension funding via employer or independent agent, limit robbing SS for general funding to a given years' level and use excess to reduce debt.

13. End all "emergencies" proclaimed by Executive branch and have any new proclamations sunseted within 4 months unless extended by legislative branch.

Voting no longer works.

The entire system needs to be torn down to the roots and built back.

Elected officials (Especially federal officials) have too much unchecked power in this country and no longer respect or even care about the citizens they represent. But it will never happen because Americans are lazy. That's how they handed over their power to Washington elites in the first place.
