Which lends credence to the MSB had him killed reporting.

If it isn't proven isn't confessed, is categorically denied and USA had nothing to do with it... well, it's not our problem. Trump can choose to take MBS word for it absent proof or confession.

Well shite.
As long as there’s credence.

Why should you care if there's credence? I thought you already believed that MSB had him executed?

Generally, I don't think they should actively lie. This might have been one of those occasions because it was so obvious that President Trump was lying out of politeness.

Trump wasn't lying... there's no way for him to be certain... because, The facts are:

1) No proof
2) No confession
3) Active denial

Credence is a low bar for a president to make a proclamation in a joint press conference.

Yes. He has... I made sure to look it up before posting so I wouldn't have to eat my hat later.

He absolutely denies any involvement or knowledge but does take responsibility that it happened on his watch as is fitting his position.

Yes, I read it. I found it very convincing. It is an executive summary, there is likely a lot more detail behind it.

I did find it interesting that they did not include a confidence level. Generally summaries like this include a measure high confidence, moderate confidence, low confidence.

How lucky are we that no reporters tried or were put in a position to ask these sort of absurd gotcha questions of Biden in front of visiting heads of state?

There's no telling what sort of international quagmires could have resulted from him having to answer questions like this on the fly.

It's absolutely absurd the number of "unwritten rules" and conventions these people have been willing to completely cast aside all because of Drumpf!

Did you read the four page report that was linked? Concerning Kashoggi/MBS? I'm not debating Maduro in this thread. Stay focused.

No. I haven't read it. Honestly, I didn't know there was any controversy. I thought it was accepted that MBS had him executed.

As for Maduro, I was pointing out (surprisingly to me) how illogical you were being. You despise Maduro, so his lack of a confession is meaningless. But, because you don't want President Trump to have lied you have concluded that MSB isn't guilty because he didn't confess.

It has a high confidence level...

Anyway, here's page 3, the meat and potatoes of the 4 pages, with uncertainty words highlighted.

It is supposition, not much more. Wouldn't stand up in court, I don't think.

I don't wonder why you call me a clown. You have the intelligence and curiosity of a brick.
I was just curious what people thought about the President's response.

I can only chase one bunny down a hole at a time. Start a Maduro thread and I will be happy to become a Google Scholar and lock horns with you.

Supposedly we had “ears” in their Embassy and recorded him being killed and dismembered.

I enjoy locking horns with you. You stick to the facts.

Lol. I'm sorry I wasted so much time on this. I didn't have a strong opinion one way or the other. I just thought it was an unusual position to put the President in. He probably did as best as could have been done.
