Thanksgiving is nothing more than a day to give thanks to God for the blessings he has bestowed upon us. The tradition has its roots back before the Pilgrims in New England and there is even evidence that the first Thanksgiving celebrated in North America was by the Spanish in St. Augustine.

I know that many people from all sides of the political aisle will agree with there certainly can be a "pause" in Thanksgiving for a period of time until we make America more socially just.
Not much to "Thankful" for if you're Black, Transgender pre-operative and living in the ghetto (for example) like my friend Mark (Maria).
