Taiwan is the cultural heritage of the Chinese culture and since MAO destroyed it after taking over the mainland it will never happen.
They will do whatever is necessary to keep a foreign influence from taking it but they bluster only.

It's been any day now, for years.

They dont need to fire a shot. All they need to do is force an embargo and have their navy cut off trade access for Taiwan. Taiwan's economy would crater and they would bend within a couple months

I've done quite a bit of reading about this subject by geopolitical scholars and people who map out potential war games.
It would be a huge miscalculation by Chini. Right now "the whole world is pissed" at the USA and China is thinking the old Napoleon "interrupt enemy/mistake" adage. If they moved on Taiwan it would greatly, negatively impact far more nations than just the US. The global narrative would suddenly shift away from the US and aim itself straight at Beijing. Militarily, China can take Taiwan but the Taiwanese would put up one hell of a protracted and bloody fight. Throw in air support and troops from the US branches and other allies, particularly naval fleets to secure the South and East China Seas and the Phillipine Sea, and Chini is wasting time, resources and lives.
There are plenty of nations that collectively remain silent about the human rights violations made by China, but they remain that way because outside of their national borders, China operates through subterfuge, shady business dealings and blackmail. Let them catalyze a full blown military campaign against one of the foremost tech supplying nations on earth, and you'll see a swift and decisive reaction from world powers at large.
For these reasons, I do not fear they'll try to take Taiwan by force. They're playing the long game and Taiwan is already theirs in a couple decades. All we have to do is to prepare for that.

Taking Tawain wouldn't be as easy as some think.
True. Taiwan also has military commitments from Japan and Australia.

I feel confident in saying that if China didn't attempt it with brain dead Biden as POTUS, they damn sure won't with Trump as POTUS. IMHO
Agreed. He'll just wait til The Dems are able to fool the people and get another zombie in the oval office. He'll have to wait a while fortunately
I agree. As hard as the Marxist MSM is trying to create a negative propaganda narrative, its not working. Trumps popularity polls remain solid while Dems continue to decline.
As I have always said, there are more of us than them.

So, Japan.

Would play into our strategy as it would alienate China from other countries. Trump tariff strategy will succeed unless the rest of the world stays united against it.
