How much less noticeable would inflation be if the scamdemic never happened?

Significantly. It gave companies an excuse to cut costs/product lines and raise prices. Once that happened they’ve had no reason to restore prior inventories and lower prices.

Throwing $6 trillion into the economy in less than a year during the lowest interest rates in history didn’t help. Cheap money and a lot of it caused record inflation across the board.
