How long before the fedgov completes takes control of the oil and gas industry?

Everything happening the last few weeks seems to be the lead point into nationalizing oil and gas and we know government ownership of this is essential to progressives/communists.
So will it be less than a year or more before the private oil and gas industry no longer exists?

Check out a book called Turning Oil Into Salt.
The push for electric vehicles is not so much about being "green" as it is about turning oil into just a commodity instead of a STRATEGIC commodity.
Once, salt was very important for food preservation and was a strategic commodity. One was "worth his weight in salt". Soldiers were paid with salt (salary comes from the greek(?) word for salt) Now, no one even thinks about where salt comes from (unless it is for for "gourmet" type use)
When autos are electric..it will not matter where that electricity to charge it comes from: Wind, solar, coal, gas, hydro, etc.
Oils simply becomes ONE of the ways to get the power to charge the auto.
The future is to be agnostic as to the source of the electicity...just charge it and go.

Venezuela has massive oil reserves, but they have major gas shortages due to their government run efficiency and socialist policies.

It won't even be discussed seriously until socialists get a stronger hold in government - probably 20 years.
Healthcare nationalization is more likely to come first.

They're headed to Venezuela now. Might as well take over the O&G to get it over with.

20 years?
They already own the DC, the media and academia. They proved they show the elf their blueprint for stealing a presidential election then did it with no consequences. Conservative voices are silenced on social media and the left even attempts to have their lives are cancelled.
How much stronger hold do they need?

Their refining capacity sucks because their refineries are corrupt (and lack of maintenance).
They can refine up to 1.3M bbl/day

The Energy Sector is very powerful worldwide... even with the corruption we now have at the top of the federal government, energy companies are not just going to tuck tail and run... it will be a big fight.
You want to stop your pipeline from being hacked, build a better mouse trap and have multiple redundancies.

Great! Then we can have shortages every week.

You can’t avoid it.
What’s the market cap of oil and gas in the US? That’s the tab for nationalization.

You don't think the government would be willing to print a few billion worthless dollars and drop it off at Exxon's headquarters?
