Another difference between Vivek and DeSantis is how they view themselves in relation to others. If you look thru videos of how each handled hecklers during their talks, you see Vivek willing to have a discussion. DeSantis isn't willing at all, in fact he threw a person out just because he supported something DeSantis didn't agree with, and the guy never said a word!

You can disagree, but the fact remains that DeSantis just doesn't have the presence or the wit to inspire anyone. Even with the tens of millions of dollars spent by his donors, he couldn't gain support.

He performs in the top tier of current politicians in press conferences.
