Oh. And no, it's not semantics.
What you've been saying is the rough equivalent of me saying, "I believe we should raise taxes on all people who don't pay enough taxes". Then, you ask me which people and I say, "all of em that don't pay enough!!!".

what's your income if you don't make money?
If you don't know how that works, we have a long way to go.

anything that involves you paying a lesser effective tax than your bracket.

OK. Well. A 6 page troll is pretty solid, I'll give you that.
But, you've also answer your OP. This is why you can't find middle ground with people.
Hell, there's probably things we COULD agree on but you won't even state your position.
I'm pretty sure you can't pass a law called the "Repeal Loopholes Act" where the sum total of the content is to say, "Repeal loopholes".

It's literally impossible to "pay a lesser rate than my bracket".

Do you know how one determines what bracket a business is in?
Cause, I mean..........they pay taxes based upon their income after deductions. That literally IS their bracket.
What do you want to use to determine what bracket they're in?

Yes. He is. On every topic.
He rarely has any idea what he's talking about and speaks in vague generalities with no explanation

Feigned outrage because you realize I can tell where you're going even though you refuse to acknowledge it.

LOL.
The dude says he wants "all loopholes" removed......."which loopholes"? All of them.
Are you defending that?

So hey.
For fun.
Sample Widget Business(easiest tax form ever)
Revenue $10M
Total Personnel costs $5M
Property Costs $1M
Production Costs $3M
We'll pretend there's nothing else.
What is the amount Machine wants me to base their taxes upon?

You mean salaries and benefits? (along with perhaps contract hires)?
You telling me you won't want the cost of my employees to be a deduction from Revenue?

I can tell from that question that there's not a snowball's chance in hell Machine has any idea of what mechanism GE or Exxon used that he's appalled about.

Businesses have bad years.
Maybe for 10 years running, I kicked arse selling widgets. Banked a lot of cash. Maybe I have $20 million in cash.
But, this year, shite happened and I lost a million.
I don't just shut my doors because, well, I still have $19M in cash and I think I can recover.
Is this really stuff you are unware of?

Or, maybe I have a business idea that I really believe will be profitable down the line(Amazon).
So, I pour cash into it as it loses money hand over fist to gain market share.
Then, eventually, I'm making butt tons of money.
Is this also some strange concept to you?
